What Is Radiesse®?

Since collagen is an important element of a youthful look, Radiesse® focuses on elevating collagen levels in the skin. The injectable contains calcium hydroxyapatite, which stimulates specialized cells to begin production of the structural protein, as well as elastin, which gives the skin its pliant nature and allows it to “snap back” when pulled out of place.
Radiesse® provides “the best of both worlds” when it comes to cosmetic benefits by adding volume that is visible right away (like a hyaluronic acid-based filler) and encouraging long-term volume creation (like other collagen stimulators).

What Can Radiesse® Treat?

There are two formulations available: Radiesse® and Radiesse® (+). These injectables are approved by the FDA to smooth nasolabial folds and similar creases on the face. Radiesse® is also approved for restoring volume on the back of the hands to reduce the visibility of veins and tendons, while Radiesse® (+) is approved for improving the contour of a jawline that has softened with age.

How Much Does Radiesse® Cost?

What Is the Sood Center Radiesse® Experience?

Your experience starts with your consultation, when you can get answers to all of your questions about the treatment, as well as discuss which options would be best for you based on the results you want.

The treatment itself starts with cleansing the face to ensure the injection site or sites are clean, then making the injections themselves. The whole process can take 15 to 30 minutes.

What Happens After a Radiesse® Session?

You may experience some slight tingling in the injection site for about an hour after your treatment. Minor bruising and swelling are also possible, but will go away on their own—and can be managed with a cold compress if desired. There is no downtime needed, so you can get back to your regularly scheduled activities as soon as you’d like.

After the initial swelling (which can make the treated area seem “overfilled” at first), you will be able to see the increase in volume right away. The treated area will continue to improve over the following weeks and months as the gel is metabolized and natural collagen replaces the filler, leading to long-lasting results for a year or more.
