Eyelid Replacement

88 year old male presented with a squamous cell cancer of his left lower eyelid that was present for a period of 1 year. He notes scratchiness of his eye with intermittent tearing and irritation. He underwent moh's surgery to remove the cancer and subsequently lost 80% of his posterior and anterior lower eyelid as well as part of his cheek. The patient was seen and evaluated and a strategic plan of care was prepared by Dr. Sood. The patient underwent a single stage eyelid reconstruction with a graft from his upper eyelid following by a flap of skin and muscle from the upper eyelid and finally a closure of his cheek was performed with a rotation flap. The patient's surgery was performed as an outpatient and he went home the same day. He recovered well and he was followed and seen in 1 week, 3 months and 6 months.
